APRICOT, 45% LESS SUGAR

HMM, WHAT A YOGURT

Apricots reached Persia and Armenia from Central Asia in the 1st century BC. They were celebrated there as the "seeds of the sun." The Macedonian king Alexander the Great introduced the apricot to Asia Minor and Greece around 330 BC. The fruit arrived in Europe at a later time through the Romans.

An apricot tree can grow up to five meters tall, with large light pink to white flowers growing directly on the trunk and branches of the tree. The fruits are yellow to orange-red and have orange flesh. The skin is velvety and becomes soft when the fruit is fully ripe. Anyone who has bitten into a sun-ripened apricot quickly becomes enthusiastic: it tastes sweet, juicy, simply like summer, and is versatile.
